Squares Tut
Alias: Dollface Tut :)
Here is the image I pulled the colors from to create the bkg
I also created stationery so you can get a good look at how
the background looks at the bottom of the page

If you would like to use the tube I used, please click

In order to do this tut, you must have a good
working knowledge of Paint Shope Pro 9 but I believe
this tut can be accomplished in 7 or 8
and you must have these filters:
(1) VM1
(2)Adjust Variations
(3) Simple Quick Tile
(4) Fm tile tools, Blend Emboss
Ok, let's begin...
Open the tube. and open a new transparent
image 800 X 800, keeping both open
From your tube, pick two complimentary colors,
one for the background color and one for the foreground color
I have chosen #a7b6f3 for the foreground and #bda7db for the background.
On the Material Pallete, click on gradient and floodfill
your 800 X 800 transparent image, which should look like this now.

Next, go to effects, texture effects, squares, and chose these settings

Now it should look like this

At this point it will be too light,

You will not be able to see any of the patterns or textures
Click on effects plugin effects, adjust variation a few
times until it is dark enough to make out all the lines now
go to effects, edge effects enhance, once should be enough!

Click on layer, raster layer, then copy and paste
your tube, bringing it over to the right

Reduce the opacity to about 22, then merge flatten.
Simple, Quick tile, then FM tile tools, blend emboss
to add demension. And you are done!
Here is the finished Background
